Trent Taylor 5K 2018 Weekend Fundraising Event

Phi Delta Theta at Florida State University, tragically lost a beloved brother, Ian "Trent" Taylor, to a traumatic brain injury at the young age of 22 in the Spring of 2012. It was his senior year at FSU and he was an academic and athletic super star with a bright future ahead. And while many wrestled with why this happened, it inspired a group of young men, his Phi Delt brothers, to create a 5k fun run in his memory to support others with brain injuries. We are now embarking on the 5th annual 5k fun run, and all monies raised support the Brain Injury Association of Florida (BIAF) and the RIPITT foundation. The purpose of the BIAF is to advance awareness, research, treatment, and education and to improve the quality of life for all people affected by brain injury.

We are so grateful for those that have supported in the past and we humbly ask for your continued financial support and participation today. Please join Todd and Mary Taylor and friends of Trent on Saturday, April 7th, 2018 for the "Red Bull" Happy Hour at Old School in Tallahassee, and then again on Sunday, April 8th, 2018 for the 5K fun run at The Edison Restaurant in Cascades Park.

Intelligent, compassionate, generous, competitive; these are words that describe the way Trent lived his life. He passionately pushed life to its boundaries and was unapologetic for the way he lived. Trent loved everything about life and what it had to offer. His passion and energy were contagious, which brought the best out of those that surrounded him. These are the reasons we celebrate and revel in his memory. In addition to Trent's charismatic qualities, he was also admired for his athleticism, which is why we chose to honor him with a 5k fun run. We sincerely hope you will join us in commemorating and honoring Ian "Trent" Taylor and all whom he has touched.

*This event is organized by the Society Foundation. All proceeds are being donated to the BIAF and RIPITT Foundation to support survivors of brain injuries and their families.
