Move-in week is one of the most exciting times of the year in Tallahassee. Every August, families from across the country arrive with packed cars, dorm room essentials, and a mix of excitement, pride, and maybe a few happy tears. Whether you're helping a freshman settle into their first home away from home or dropping off a returning Seminole for another semester, there's one thing everyone has in common by the end of the day: they're ready for a great meal.

Located just minutes from Florida State University in beautiful Cascades Park, The Edison has become a favorite gathering place for students, parents, alumni, and visitors alike. We hope your first visit won't be your last.

Maybe we'll be your family's dinner after move-in. Maybe we'll become your go-to spot when you're back in town for Parents' Weekend or a football game. Perhaps we'll help celebrate a birthday, graduation, a first internship, or the job offer that starts the next chapter. Some of our favorite guests are families we've watched return year after year as their students grow from nervous freshmen into proud graduates.

Our menu, created by Executive Chef Morgan Stumpff, celebrates Southern hospitality with Gulf seafood, locally sourced ingredients, and familiar favorites prepared with care. Whether you're stopping in for brunch, dinner after a day on campus, or a special celebration, our goal is simple: serve great food and make you feel at home.
